The Oklahoma Education Awards for Arts Excellence are awarded to high school juniors and seniors who have achieved artistic and academic excellence and served their communities. The arts have great value and are an important component of a well- rounded education. Students who participate in the arts — whether music, drama, dance, or in visual media — acquire skills that transfer to other academic areas and carry forward into adulthood. Please encourage your students and children who meet the criteria to apply for these honorary awards.

Educators/Administrators
The Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE) in cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE), Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA), and the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA), is pleased to recognize local school administrators, school boards, and arts educators for outstanding support of arts in education. These awards are presented annually to school administrators, school boards, and arts educators who have demonstrated support for and commitment to high-quality arts education in their school district, community, or state. Award recipients are chosen by a selection committee of educators, including representatives from the Board of Directors of OAAE, OSSBA, and CCOSA.
